Hamm's Genuine Draft 16 Oz Tab Top Can

Hamm's 16 Oz Genuine Draft Can

Produced by the Theo. Hamm Brewing Company of St. Paul, Minnesota, this 16-ounce can represents the king-size presentation of the brewery's Genuine Draft lineup. Originating from the historic brewery established in St. Paul's Phalen Creek valley, Hamm's grew into one of the country's most prominent regional brewing powerhouses, widely recognized for its iconic advertising and deep Midwestern roots.

During the industry-wide push to bring tap-style packaged beer directly to consumers, Theo. Hamm marketed draft offerings in larger single-serving containers. The 16-ounce format provided an expansive display for the Genuine Draft graphics, featuring bold typography framed by the brewery's classic crest and crown insignia.

Because Theo. Hamm expanded distribution through a network of regional facilities in addition to its flagship St. Paul headquarters, cans produced for various markets display diverse manufacturing traits. Known variations include differences in brewery location listings, side-panel mandatory text, and specific lid stampings or captions.
