Huber Bock 12 Oz Tab Top Can

Jos. Huber Bock Tab Top Can

The Huber Bock 12 Oz Tab Top Can represents a notable chapter in the history of the Jos. Huber Brewing Company, located in Monroe, Wisconsin. Established in 1845 and operating for generations in Green County, the facility stood as one of the oldest continuously operating brewing operations in the United States.

Huber Bock was packaged featuring traditional bock heraldry and the memorable promotional slogan, "A Great Bock Beer... because it's Genuine!" The graphic presentation highlights the brewery's commitment to classic Germanic brewing traditions, reflecting the deep immigrant heritage of Monroe and south-central Wisconsin.

For breweriana enthusiasts, the Huber Bock can is of interest due to subtle variations that appeared across production runs. These include differences in mandatory text, brewery address phrasing, and minor compositional shifts on the steel body. Following decades of independent operation by the Huber family, the Monroe facility eventually changed hands and was later reorganized as the Minhas Craft Brewery, turning original Jos. Huber-branded cans into celebrated historical artifacts from a landmark Midwestern regional brewer.
