Irish Pride Premium Beer 12 Oz Tab Top Can

Irish Pride Beer Can Overview

The Irish Pride Premium Beer 12 oz can is a notable piece of Louisiana breweriana issued under the Royal Brewing Company name in New Orleans, Louisiana. Royal Brewing Company functioned as an alternate trade name and contract brewing label used by the historic Dixie Brewing Company at its Tulane Avenue facility. Dixie utilized the Royal imprint for private-label partnerships, custom store brands, and themed novelty releases.

Design and Context

Created as a themed release celebrating Irish heritage and St. Patrick's Day festivities, the can features an eye-catching green and gold color scheme highlighted by classic Irish iconography, including a leprechaun illustration. The packaging explicitly lists the New Orleans address, connecting the celebratory theme directly to the city's storied brewing landscape.

Collector Notes

Among breweriana collectors, cans bearing the Royal Brewing Company imprint are sought after for their connection to New Orleans brewing history and Dixie's specialty line of labelings. Variations exist among preserved specimens, with subtle differences found in printing details and canning marks across production runs.
