Jennings Deluxe Beer Flat Top Can

Cold Spring Jennings Deluxe Can

The Jennings Deluxe Beer flat top can is a notable regional release packaged by the Cold Spring Brewing Company of Cold Spring, Minnesota. While Cold Spring was recognized across the Upper Midwest for packaging its own flagship beers, the facility also produced specialty and regional contract labels. Jennings Deluxe stands out among these regional releases as an intriguing piece of the brewery's broader canning legacy.

Design and Lithography

The can showcases bold mid-century lithography, pairing prominent script lettering with striking decorative elements. The primary face prominently features the "Jennings Deluxe" brand script set against a dynamic metallic color palette highlighted by blue, green, and gold accents. The side panels include mandatory brewing declarations identifying Cold Spring as the manufacturing source.

Variations and Collector Significance

Among collectors specializing in Minnesota and Midwestern breweriana, the Jennings Deluxe flat top is regarded as a desirable and elusive piece due to its relatively limited distribution compared to Cold Spring's flagship lines. Known variations exist across canning runs, with differences found in background ink shades and slight adjustments in the mandatory legal text and layout. Its regional heritage and scarcity make it a prized centerpiece for vintage breweriana collections.
