Kingsbury Aristocrat Beer Crowntainer

Kingsbury Aristocrat Crowntainer

The Kingsbury Aristocrat Beer Crowntainer is a distinguished artifact of Wisconsin's midwestern brewing heritage, bottled and packaged by the Kingsbury Breweries Company at their facility in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Originally operating as the historic Gutsch Brewing Company before its acquisition and modernization by Kingsbury, the Sheboygan operation served as a key packaging hub designed to expand the brewery's regional market reach.

Design and Branding

The container features the brand's bold slogan, "Aristocrat of Beer," reflecting the post-Prohibition era's competitive marketing where regional brewers positioned their products as premium offerings. The graphic presentation highlights a bright white background contrasted against vivid red script and block lettering, accented by Kingsbury's classic crest and heraldic motifs. Detailed side text highlights the Sheboygan origin, establishing a strong local identity for the brand.

Collector Variations

This release generated notable interest among breweriana enthusiasts due to multiple label variations created to comply with shifting statutory requirements. Collectors document variations featuring the "Internal Revenue Tax Paid" (IRTP) designation, as well as versions released after that requirement was eliminated. Additional label variations display distinct state-specific mandatory statements regarding alcohol content and percentages by weight, alongside slight shifts in typography and layout. Its bold graphics and strong regional roots make it a celebrated centerpiece within vintage Wisconsin can collections.
