Knickerbocker Natural Beer 16 Oz Tab Top Can

Knickerbocker Natural Pint Can

The Knickerbocker Natural Beer 16 Oz Tab Top Can represents a notable chapter in the history of one of New York's most famous brewing legacies, the Jacob Ruppert Brewery. Founded in Manhattan, the Ruppert name achieved legendary status under Colonel Jacob Ruppert, who famously owned the New York Yankees and financed the construction of Yankee Stadium. While Ruppert's flagship Knickerbocker brand had long been a staple across the Northeast, the label was rebranded as "Knickerbocker Natural Beer" to emphasize brewing without artificial additives.

This 16-ounce half-quart container provided consumers with an extended serving size compared to standard cans. The visual presentation features bold, barred banner graphics and prominent lettering that prominently displays the historic Jacob Ruppert moniker and New York, NY association.

For breweriana collectors, this oversized container holds significant historical appeal due to the production shifts that occurred under the Jacob Ruppert name. Cans were manufactured across different regional facilities, resulting in known variations that feature differing seam constructions, mandatory legal statements, and brewery location credits on the side panels.
