Kol Premium Quality Beer Flat Top Can

Wisconsin Brewing Kol Flat Top

The Kol Premium Quality Beer Flat Top Can represents a notable regional release associated with the Wisconsin Brewing Company facility in Burlington, Wisconsin. The Kol brand was packaged across select regional hubs during the mid-twentieth-century canning era, with the Burlington location serving as a key Midwestern packaging site.

Design and Aesthetics

The visual presentation of the can centers around the bold, modern "Kol" logotype prominently framed by clean mid-century commercial graphics. The label prominently features promotional taglines including "Premium Quality Beer" and "Extra Light Extra Dry," reflecting the light lager marketing trends of the period. Its streamlined aesthetic was engineered to stand out on retail shelves alongside larger national competitors.

Regional Brewing Heritage

Burlington, Wisconsin, was home to a long-standing brewing tradition dating back to the nineteenth century, transitioning through various brewing entities before operating under the Wisconsin Brewing Company banner. Flat top cans bearing the Burlington mandatory text serve as tangible artifacts of this transitional era in local industrial brewing, prior to the widespread consolidation of regional beer packaging.
