Lebanon Valley Pilsner Beer Cone Top Can

Lebanon Valley Pilsner Can History

Produced by the Lebanon Valley Brewing Company of Lebanon, Pennsylvania, the Lebanon Valley Pilsner Beer cone top can represents a classic piece of mid-century regional Pennsylvania breweriana. Operating out of North 7th Street, the Lebanon Valley brewery produced a variety of popular local labels throughout its post-Prohibition tenure before closing its doors in the late 1950s.

The label art features prominent brewery branding highlighting the company's flagship pilsner recipe. Collectors recognize variations of this can that reflect manufacturing shifts and regulatory changes across its production lifespan. These variations include cans manufactured with Internal Revenue Tax Paid (IRTP) labeling as well as versions released without the tax statement. In addition, spout designs vary across different production runs, with both high-profile formats and an elusive J-spout version known to exist, the latter of which remains especially sought after among breweriana enthusiasts.

Because the Lebanon Valley Brewing Company primarily served a regional footprint, examples of these cans are closely tied to central Pennsylvania brewing heritage. Its bold typography, traditional crest design, and historic connection to Lebanon County make this cone top an enduring favorite among vintage beer can collectors.
