Falstaff Lite Fort Wayne Tab Top

During the industry-wide expansion of reduced-calorie lagers, the Falstaff Brewing Corporation released Falstaff Lite Beer to remain competitive alongside major national brands. Produced at Falstaff's Plant #7 in Fort Wayne, Indiana—a facility operating out of the historic former Berghoff Brewing plant acquired in 1954—this container represents a notable chapter in Midwestern brewing and packaging history.

Design and Visual Elements

The graphic presentation represents a departure from traditional heavy heraldry toward a cleaner, modern look tailored to the light beer market. The design features bold, stylized typography highlighting the "Lite" formulation set against a crisp background, framed by the traditional Falstaff crest and shield emblem. Mandatory brewery lines prominently reference the Fort Wayne, Indiana brewing facility, documenting the site's role as a major packaging and distribution hub.
