Lucky Brewery President Beer 12 Oz Tab Top Can

Lucky Brewery President Beer Can

Issued by the General Brewing Company in San Francisco, California, this 12-ounce can is part of the notable commemorative Presidential series produced under the historic Lucky label. The release was designed around American history, transforming standard packaging into educational collectibles by dedicating individual can designs to different United States commanders-in-chief, including leaders such as George Washington and John Adams.

Each can face within the series highlights a presidential portrait paired with key biographical details, including their term of office, political party affiliation, and significant historical quotes or achievements. For breweriana enthusiasts, these cans became popular targets for set building and display.

General Brewing Company—originally established in San Francisco's Bayview neighborhood following the repeal of Prohibition—grew into one of the most prominent brewing entities on the West Coast. The brewery frequently utilized themed graphic campaigns to connect with regional consumers and keep the Lucky brand prominent on retail shelves.

Collectors recognize known variations throughout the Presidential run, with differences stemming from various featured leaders, minor typography shifts, and can manufacturer markings across production facilities.
