Lucky Dark Continental Beer 12 Oz Tab Top Can

General Brewing's Lucky Dark Can

The Lucky Dark Continental Beer 12 Oz Tab Top Can represents a notable chapter in West Coast brewing history under the banner of General Brewing Company in San Francisco, California. Historically recognized for its flagship Lucky Lager brand, General Brewing expanded its portfolio with specialty and continental-style offerings aimed at expanding market appeal.

Design and Manufacturing

Manufactured using the American Can Company's MiraSeam process, the container features a cemented side seam that allowed full wrap-around graphic lithography without an unprinted solder margin. The label design prominently showcases the "Lucky Dark" script and "Continental Beer" typography, framed by rich background tones and accented with the brewery's promotional motto, "Something You Will Enjoy And Repeat".

Mandatory and Text Variations

Brewery collectibles enthusiasts track several variations across production runs of this label. While centered around the primary San Francisco facility, different production runs feature multi-city mandatory text listings that include combinations of San Francisco, Los Angeles, California, and Vancouver, Washington. Minor variations also appear in the phrasing of regulatory statements and can maker markings.

The Lucky Dark Continental can stands as an enduring representation of General Brewing Company's diverse regional packaging history.
