Lucky Genuine Draft 12 Oz Tab Top Can

Lucky Genuine Draft Tab Top Can

The Lucky Genuine Draft 12 oz tab top can is an iconic release associated with General Brewing in San Francisco, California. Originating from the historic brewery facilities located in San Francisco's Bayview district, the Lucky label was a cornerstone of West Coast brewing heritage throughout the mid-to-late twentieth century.

This can was part of the industry-wide transition toward marketing packaged draft-style beers directly to consumers in standard twelve-ounce packaging. General Brewing utilized the Genuine Draft moniker to highlight brewery-fresh appeal on retail shelves. The graphic design features the familiar Lucky brand typography paired with prominent draft branding and classic West Coast styling.

For breweriana collectors, this can is a noteworthy California specimen. Known variations exist across different production runs, with differences found in the side-panel mandatory text layouts, listed brewery locations, and seam constructions. It remains an essential regional collectible representing San Francisco's rich commercial brewing era.
