Lucky Lager Aged/Flavor Beer 16 Oz Tab Top Can

Lucky Lager Aged Flavor 16 Oz Can

Produced by General Brewing Company in San Francisco, California, this 16-ounce tab top container represents an era of major growth for one of the American West's most recognized regional beer brands. Lucky Lager was originally launched following Repeal under the leadership of Eugene Selvage, master brewer Julius Kerber, and Paul C. von Gontard, with its flagship facility operating in San Francisco's Bayview district.

Graphic Design and Slogans

The visual layout on this 16-ounce container features the classic Lucky Lager branding, defined by bold lettering and the prominent tagline "Aged For Premium Flavor" positioned alongside the brand's signature geometric motifs. General Brewing made aging and patience central themes in its regional marketing campaigns, incorporating process-focused slogans directly onto the can faces.

Collector Notes and Variations

Pint-sized 16-ounce containers from Western regional breweries are popular focal points for collectors due to their larger display presence compared to standard 12-ounce issues. Multiple variations of this can exist among collectors, showing minor differences in the alignment of the aging slogan near the central insignia, slight revisions to mandatory legal text, and alternate brewery location listings across side panels as the company coordinated distribution across its Pacific network.
