Metz Premium Beer Flat Top Can

Metz Premium Beer from Pueblo

The Metz Premium Beer flat top can holds an intriguing place in regional brewing history, representing the migration of a classic midwestern label to the Mountain West. Originally founded in Omaha, Nebraska, the Metz name carried decades of heritage before the rights to the brand were acquired by the Walter Brewing Company of Pueblo, Colorado.

During its peak operational era, Walter frequently packaged beer under alternate corporate identities and trade names, including the Metz Brewing Company. This allowed the Pueblo facility to maintain market presence and cater to diverse regional consumer bases. Cans produced under the Pueblo, Colorado mandatory represent this distinct chapter of contract packaging and brand acquisition.

Known variations exist across production runs, featuring subtle differences in mandatory text layout, lithograph detailing, and text placement—such as examples displaying regional brewing statements along the rim. For collectors of Colorado breweriana, this can stands as a prominent artifact from Pueblo's industrial brewing era.
