Milwaukee Brand Premium Beer 12 Oz Tab Top Can

Milwaukee Brand Premium Overview

The Milwaukee Brand Premium Beer 12 oz can is an evocative release associated with the Waukee Brewing Company of Hammonton, New Jersey—a trade name utilized by the prolific Eastern Brewing Corporation. Eastern Brewing was widely recognized in the brewing industry for operating under numerous subsidiary names while producing contract labels, value brands, and private-label beverages.

Marketing and Geographic Association

Despite carrying the "Milwaukee Brand" name—a direct reference designed to evoke the heritage and reputation of Milwaukee, Wisconsin as the epicenter of American brewing—the beer was produced and canned in southern New Jersey. Adopting aliases like "Waukee" and naming beers after famed brewing centers was a standard strategy for contract packaging plants seeking to provide immediate shelf recognition across regional distribution networks.

Design and Collectibility

The container features a traditional graphic presentation characterized by bold typography, classic heraldic crests, and a clean metallic palette. Promotional phrases on the label, including "Brewed With Pure Artesian Well Water," reflected standard marketing declarations of the era aimed at elevating the profile of budget-tier canned beers.

Production Variations

Breweriana collectors recognize that variations exist across different production runs. Notable differences include adjustments to mandatory brewery statements, variations in side-panel text placement, and updates incorporating metric volume measurements. Additionally, specialized production batches featured multilingual export labeling, including Hebrew lettering, illustrating the diverse market reach of the Hammonton facility.
