National Bohemian Light Beer 12 Oz Zip Top Can

Classic Baltimore Natty Boh Can

Produced by the National Brewing Company in Baltimore, Maryland, this 12-ounce can features one of the most recognized mascots in American commercial history: Mr. Boh, the iconic one-eyed character sporting a prominent handlebar mustache. Colloquially known throughout the Mid-Atlantic as "Natty Boh," the brand was deeply woven into the local culture of Baltimore and the broader Chesapeake Bay region.

The brewery operated out of its landmark facility in Baltimore's Highlandtown neighborhood—an area now known as Brewer's Hill. Under the leadership of company president Jerold Hoffberger, who was also the long-time owner of the Baltimore Orioles, National Bohemian became the signature beverage served at Memorial Stadium, cementing its status as an indelible fixture of regional sports and Chesapeake culture.

The can design highlights the company's famous promotional motto, "From the Land of Pleasant Living," set against its traditional red, white, and gold color palette. For collectors, multiple graphic variations exist across different manufacturing runs, exhibiting subtle distinctions in mandatory canning text, mandatory brewery address lines, and minor shifts in the border detailing surrounding the crest and mascot. This can stands as a defining artifact of Maryland brewing heritage and an enduring symbol of Baltimore's commercial legacy.
