Old Bohemian Bock Flat Top Can

Old Bohemian Bock Flat Top

The Old Bohemian Bock flat top can was produced by Eastern Brewing Corporation in Hammonton, New Jersey. Eastern Brewing was widely known among East Coast regional producers for maintaining an extensive portfolio of value brands, house staples, and contract labels.

Seasonal Collectibility

Because bock beers were traditionally brewed for seasonal distribution rather than continuous year-round production, bock cans were manufactured in smaller batches compared to flagship pale lagers or ales. This limited canning run elevates the Old Bohemian Bock within breweriana collecting circles.

Can Design and Manufacturing

The can's graphic layout highlights the classic Old Bohemian typography framed by traditional agricultural accents such as wheat stalks and metallic detailing. The container incorporates the American Can Company's patented "Keglined" internal coating, identifiable by the company's trademark oval displayed alongside the side seam.

Documented Variations

Several documented variations exist across production runs of this can. Discrepancies appear primarily in the mandatory brewery naming—reflecting the transition from Eastern Beverage Corporation to Eastern Brewing Corporation—as well as differences in side seam construction and state-mandated alcohol statement text.
