Old Bohemian Cream Ale Flat Top Can

Old Bohemian Cream Ale Overview

The Old Bohemian Cream Ale flat top can is a notable piece of Mid-Atlantic breweriana produced by Eastern Brewing Corporation in Hammonton, New Jersey. Eastern Brewing operated as the sole brewery located in Hammonton, establishing a widespread presence across the East Coast through regional distribution and contract packaging.

Old Bohemian served as one of Eastern Brewing's primary house brands, appearing across several styles including lager, bock, and cream ale. The Cream Ale design features distinctive vintage typography alongside classic branding elements and mandatory brewery identification tying the can directly to the Hammonton facility. The container was manufactured using standard American Can Company Keglined processes.

For breweriana enthusiasts, multiple variations of this flat top can are known to exist across various production runs. These variations typically exhibit subtle differences in mandatory brewery text placement, seam markings, and minor graphic accents. Because Eastern Brewing produced numerous house and private labels, authentic cans bearing the Hammonton heritage remain popular targets for East Coast beer can collectors.
