Old Cars Beer 12 Oz Tab Top Can

Iola Car Show Commemorative Can

The Old Cars Beer can was produced by the historic Stevens Point Brewery in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. Specially commissioned as a commemorative souvenir for the annual Iola Old Car Show and Swap Meet held in nearby Iola, Wisconsin, this can serves as a notable crossover item bridging the breweriana hobby and automotive memorabilia.

Historical Context

The Iola Old Car Show, established by Chester L. Krause of Krause Publications—the founding publisher of Old Cars Weekly—grew into one of the largest vintage vehicle gatherings and swap meets in the United States. To celebrate the event, organizers partnered with the regional Stevens Point Brewery to provide dedicated souvenir cans for attendees and automotive enthusiasts.

Graphic Design and Variations

The exterior design showcases prominent automotive-themed artwork and event typography. Multiple variations were issued over the course of the event's history, featuring different classic automobile illustrations, varied color schemes, and dated captions designating specific annual show gatherings. Because of this connection to the landmark Wisconsin automotive meet, the can remains a sought-after collectible for regional brewery collectors and classic car enthusiasts alike.
