In 1947, under Bavarian immigrant Joseph Huber, the facility officially took the Jos. Huber Brewing Company name. It maintained profitability through contract brewing, value lines, and flagship products such as Augsburger, Huber Bock, and Rhinelander. After changing hands in the late 20th century, the historic Monroe brewery was eventually acquired by the Minhas Craft Brewery.
