Park Beverages Premium Beer Flat Top Can

Park Beverages Flat Top Overview

The Park Beverages Premium Beer flat top can is a notable example of contract brewing produced by the Fuhrmann & Schmidt Brewing Company of Shamokin, Pennsylvania. Located in Pennsylvania's anthracite coal region, Fuhrmann & Schmidt maintained an active business packaging both its primary house labels and private labels for independent beverage merchants and distributors.

This container was produced specifically for Park Beverages. Private-label packaging formed a key part of regional brewing operations during the flat top era, enabling beverage companies to offer proprietary branded products while utilizing the canning lines and infrastructure of established regional breweries.

The can features period commercial lithography prominently displaying the "Park Beverages" identity and the "Premium Beer" designation. Steel cans originating from the Shamokin facility typically incorporated standard soldered side seams and standard mid-century lid assemblies.

Among breweriana enthusiasts focusing on Pennsylvania brewing history, store-brand labels, and the output of the Fuhrmann & Schmidt plant, this can represents an engaging regional piece. Variations of the can are known among collectors, showing minor adjustments in regulatory text and graphic alignments across production runs.
