Prima Premium Beer Pint Can

Chicago Prima Premium Pint Can

The Prima Premium Beer pint can represents a significant chapter in Chicago brewing history, released under the Prima label in Chicago, Illinois. Prima holds deep roots in the regional beer landscape, having evolved through early Chicago brewing ventures and surviving the Prohibition era through near-beer production before re-establishing its packaging lines.

Issued in the larger 16-ounce format, this container provided consumers with a full pint option of the brewery's flagship offering. The visual presentation features the distinct 'Prima' branding prominently displayed alongside bold 'Premium Beer' text, accented by classic geometric borders and mid-century graphic styling.

For collectors of Chicago breweriana, variations of this pint can are known to exist. These variations display subtle differences in mandatory brewery statements, canning manufacturer markings, and small adjustments in the metallic color palette across production runs. The pint remains a notable centerpiece for collectors dedicated to Illinois brewing history and mid-century metropolitan brands.
