Rahr's All Star Beer 12 Oz Tab Top Can

Oshkosh-Brewed Rahr's All Star Can

The Rahr's All Star Beer 12 oz tab top can represents a fascinating intersection of Wisconsin brewing history and regional sports heritage. The "All Star" moniker originally began as a collaborative concept between brewery head Henry Rahr III and Green Bay Packers co-founder and coach Curly Lambeau, paying tribute to the team's celebrated roster.

Following the closure of the Rahr Green Bay Brewing Company, the brand portfolio was acquired by the Oshkosh Brewing Company in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Operating under the "Rahr-Green Bay" trade name, the Oshkosh plant produced and packaged the brand, which is why this can bears the Oshkosh, Wisconsin mandatory statement on the seam.

The can's visual design showcases bold mid-century star emblems and clean typography reflective of its football-inspired roots. Among collectors of regional Midwestern breweriana, the can is recognized as a key artifact documenting the transition of historical Green Bay labels to Oshkosh production. Variations in factory marks and legal mandatory text exist among surviving specimens from this canning era.
