Rahr's All Star Beer Flat Top Can

Rahr's All Star Beer Can History

The Rahr's All Star Beer can stands as a celebrated piece of Wisconsin breweriana, capturing a direct connection between regional brewing and local sports history. Produced by the Rahr-Green Bay Brewing Corporation in Green Bay, Wisconsin, the brand traces its roots to a collaboration between brewery executive Henry Rahr III and legendary Green Bay Packers co-founder and head coach Curly Lambeau. The "All Star" name paid tribute to the championship football franchise and its roster of standout players.

The can's graphic design features prominent star emblems, classic silver and red styling, and clean mid-century lettering that evokes its gridiron heritage. Known variations exist across different manufacturing runs, featuring slight shifts in side panel text, trademark placements, and mandatory brewery statements.

The can also marks an important chapter in Midwestern brewing transitions. Following the closure of Rahr-Green Bay, the brand was acquired by the Oshkosh Brewing Company, which continued to market the label under the Rahr-Green Bay trade name before production fully shifted. For collectors, the can remains an iconic artifact representing the golden age of Wisconsin brewing and sports culture.
