Royal Bohemian Style Beer Cone Top Can

Duluth's Royal Bohemian Cone Top

The Royal Bohemian Style Beer cone top was produced by the Duluth Brewing & Malting Company of Duluth, Minnesota. As one of the prominent commercial breweries serving the Lake Superior port region and broader Upper Midwest markets, Duluth Brewing & Malting packaged this flagship label featuring their memorable marketing slogan, "Treat Yourself Royally".

Manufactured by the Continental Can Company, this high-profile container is distinguished by bold blue, yellow, and metallic gold graphics showcasing royal crest motifs and ornate typography.

Collectors recognize several variations of this can, primarily differentiated by regulatory text and mandatory alcohol statements. Variations exist with and without the federal Internal Revenue Tax Paid (IRTP) marking, as well as versions carrying specific alcohol declarations such as "Strong" or low-point 3.2% statements to comply with various state distribution laws. Additional variations exhibit subtle differences in factory manufacturer stampings and metallic paint detailing.

Today, the Royal Bohemian Style Beer cone top stands as an iconic representation of northern Minnesota brewing history and remains a widely recognized staple in breweriana collecting.
