The Schlitz Beer Test Can represents an experimental packaging design by the Jos. Schlitz Brewing Company of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Manufactured as a pre-production prototype, this container was produced to evaluate an elongated 12-ounce "tall can" profile alongside refreshed graphic layouts and promotional copy.

During its era as a leading national brewer, Schlitz regularly developed trial containers to evaluate canning line performance, lithographic printing finishes, and retail shelf presentation. The label showcases the classic globe insignia above the signature angled red rhomboid containing the white cursive brand script. Beneath the central emblem, the can incorporates the heritage mark "Since 1849" and promotional text highlighting key brewing ingredients alongside the advertising slogan "Schlitz makes it great!"

A metallic gold band across the bottom edge features the 12-fluid-ounce volume statement and the brewery's enduring slogan, "The Beer that made Milwaukee Famous".
