Senator's Club Draft 12 Oz Zip Top Can

Shenandoah's Senator's Club Draft

The Senator's Club Draft 12 oz can represents an iconic regional label packaged by the Columbia Brewing Company of Shenandoah, Pennsylvania. Situated in the heart of Pennsylvania's historic Anthracite coal region, Columbia Brewing Company served local markets with popular regional offerings, among which the Senator's Club line gained substantial recognition.

The graphic design of the Senator's Club Draft can features bold brand typography paired with classic mid-century styling, often highlighting the brewery's regional marketing slogans such as its reference to sparkling mountain spring water. As consumer preferences shifted toward draft-style branding, Columbia adapted the Senator's Club line to feature draft-specific trade dress.

Within breweriana collecting circles, the can is appreciated as an authentic artifact from Schuylkill County's independent brewing heritage. Columbia Brewing Company operated out of Shenandoah for decades before its eventual closure, maintaining local loyalty even as national shipping breweries began dominating the marketplace. Collectors have documented variations across cans bearing this label, distinguished by differences in manufacturer stamps, seam details, and slight layout shifts in the mandatory brewery text.
