Silver Cream Beer Flat Top Can

Silver Cream Flat Top from Menominee

The Silver Cream Beer Flat Top Can was produced in the 1950s for the Menominee-Marinette Brewing Company, located in Menominee on Michigan's Upper Peninsula border with Marinette, Wisconsin.

Brewery Heritage

Although the Menominee-Marinette Brewing Company was established under that name following the repeal of Prohibition in 1933, the can prominently features an oval medallion stating "SINCE 1870." This date pays homage to the site's brewing roots, which originated with early regional brewers and later evolved into the prominent Leisen & Henes Brewing Company. The brewery remained a vital regional producer in the Upper Peninsula and northeastern Wisconsin until it ceased operations in 1961.

Can Design & Graphics

The can features horizontal pinstriping behind a deep blue, scrolled central crest. Crowned within the crest is the company's trademark emblem depicting an eagle perched above a star emblem and banner. Below the crest's looped flourish sits the heritage oval referencing the brewery's 1870 founding. Manufactured by the American Can Company, it also displays the classic "Keglined" oval logo along the lower front-right rim.
