Storz Premium Dry Beer Flat Top Can

Storz Premium Dry Flat Top Can

Produced by the Storz Brewing Company of Omaha, Nebraska, the Storz Premium Dry Beer flat top can represents a notable era of Midwestern regional brewing history. Storz was historically celebrated as one of the prominent "Big Four" breweries rooted in Omaha—alongside Krug, Metz, and Willow Springs—and grew into Nebraska's dominant beer producer through the mid-20th century.

Brewery Heritage and Branding

Founded by German immigrant Gottlieb Storz in the late 19th century along North 16th Street, the Storz Brewing Company earned numerous awards for brewing excellence. The Premium Dry label was a key staple in the brewery's portfolio during the mid-century canning boom, aligning with the company's long-running promotional emphasis on light and dry profiles.

Graphic Design and Collector Details

The can features classic Storz typography, showcasing the traditional brewery crest, metallic and colored accents, and prominent "Premium Dry" badging across the face. As with many mid-century cans produced for regional breweries, the container was manufactured using the patented "Keglined" process by the American Can Company, displaying the manufacturer's trademark and production codes along the seam.

Collector interest remains steady due to known variations across production runs, which differ in mandatory state alcohol content statements, corporate phrasing, and minor color separations. These packaging shifts provide breweriana collectors with historical distinctions across Storz's flat top lineup.
