Sunshine Premium Beer Flat Top Can

Sunshine Premium Flat Top Can

The Sunshine Premium Beer flat top can represents a notable era in Pennsylvania brewing history, produced by the Sunshine Brewing Company based in Reading, Pennsylvania. Originally established in the nineteenth century as Peter Barbey & Son, the brewery later adopted the Sunshine brand name and established a strong following across the Mid-Atlantic market.

Manufactured by the American Can Company, this twelve-ounce container features the recognizable "Keglined" trademark on its seam. Sunshine utilized clean, bold typography and vibrant mid-century labeling for its flagship premium beer lineup during this manufacturing period. Sunshine Brewing Company operated its Reading facility until shutting down operations in 1970, leaving behind a celebrated legacy among regional breweriana collectors.
