Three Thirty Three Pilsener Brand Beer Flat Top Can

Three Thirty Three Flat Top Can

The Three Thirty Three Pilsener Brand Beer flat top can originates from the Gold Brau Brewing Company of Chicago, Illinois. Gold Brau functioned as a subsidiary trade name associated with Chicago's prominent Canadian Ace Brewing Company, which produced and marketed a wide array of distinct regional labels.

Design and Visual Attributes

The can's face showcases bold typography featuring both the numeric "333" branding and the spelled-out title "Three Thirty Three Pilsener Brand Beer". The overall layout incorporates classic mid-century graphic styling with sharp contrast and vibrant coloring. Versions featuring metallic finishes within the lithographed design are particularly sought after by collectors for their reflective visual appeal.

Factory and Labeling Variations

Collectors of Illinois breweriana recognize variations in both the can's lithography and assembly. Subtle textual differences exist in the brewery disclaimer and legal phrasing, notably involving the presence and arrangement of "Brewed and Packed By" statements along the seam line.

Furthermore, interesting lid stamp variations have been documented. Some cans are found sealed with factory lids stamped for bock beer, pointing to the historical brewery practice of repurposing container bodies across seasonal or secondary product lines.

Collectibility

Representing the extensive portfolio of Chicago's Canadian Ace operations, the Three Thirty Three flat top remains a celebrated piece of mid-century packaging design. Its striking numerical theme, metallic paint options, and factory lid variations make it a prominent artifact in collections dedicated to historic Midwest brewing.
