This 12-ounce flat top can represents a classic post-Prohibition design from the Tivoli-Union Company of Denver, Colorado. Dating to the late 1940s, the can carries the mandatory "INT. REV. TAX PAID" (IRTP) statement printed near the bottom rim, placing its production prior to the federal tax statement repeal in 1950. The label showcases a stylized gold script rendering of the "Tivoli" name centered within an oval frame, complemented by hop leaves, grain stalks, and tied red ribbons.

Marketed under slogans such as "The Western Aristocrat" and labeled with designations of "Premium Quality" and "Fully Aged," the Aristocrat brand was positioned as a refined flagship lager. Tivoli promoted the beer across Colorado and expanding western markets, emphasizing strict brewing standards and traditional lager heritage to appeal to discerning post-war consumers.

The brewery's origins reach back to Denver's gold rush era. In 1864, German immigrant Moritz Sigi established a brewery in Denver's Auraria neighborhood. After subsequent ownership changes, brewing pioneer John Good acquired the site in 1900, renaming it Tivoli in homage to Copenhagen's famed Tivoli Gardens. In 1901, Good partnered with William Burghardt of the Union Brewery to form the Tivoli-Union Company. The enterprise survived Colorado's early Prohibition era by producing low-alcohol cereal beverages, returning to traditional brewing after repeal and expanding output significantly across the western United States. Following ownership changes in 1965, the facility suffered severe damage from a South Platte River flood and later encountered labor disputes, ultimately shuttering in 1969.
