Topper Non Alcoholic Malt Tonic 12 Oz Tab Top Can

Eastern's Topper Malt Tonic Can

The Topper Non Alcoholic Malt Tonic 12 oz can represents an intriguing chapter in the history of Eastern Brewing Corporation of Hammonton, New Jersey. Eastern Brewing was widely recognized among collectors for its prolific output of private labels, contract brews, and specialized canning lines.

Eastern Brewing produced non-alcoholic malt beverages to serve both domestic niches and international markets. Malt tonics under labels like Topper and Crown were canned in Hammonton and shipped to overseas destinations, notably regions in the Middle East such as Saudi Arabia where alcoholic beverages were prohibited. Consequently, examples from this product line frequently showcase specialized export text or Arabic script alongside the traditional branding.

The can graphic incorporates the familiar Topper brand insignia against striking background finishes. Variations of this can exist among collectors, showcasing differences in background colors, mandatory export markings, and brewery vanity lids.

For collectors of Eastern Brewing cans and non-alcoholic breweriana, this can remains a notable example of how regional American breweries expanded their canning lines into international and specialty malt beverage distribution.
