Uinta Club Old Style Beer Flat Top Can

Becker's Uinta Club Flat Top Can

Named after Utah's Uinta Mountains, Uinta Club Old Style Beer was one of the premier labels produced by the Becker Products Company out of Ogden, Utah. Founded by the Becker family, the brewery established itself as a prominent regional institution in the Intermountain West.

The Uinta Club flat top can represents an iconic artifact of Western breweriana. These cans featured prominent graphic branding with the distinctive Uinta Club script and crest. Early manufacturing runs were produced using American Can Company's patented "Keglined" process, incorporating side-panel opening instructions and regulatory text.

Collectors prize Becker Products cans due to the localized nature of their distribution, which centered around Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, and Nevada. Because Becker was an independent regional brewer competing directly against expanding national shipping breweries, overall distribution was limited compared to national brands, elevating the historical interest and collector appeal of surviving cans today.

Known variations of the Uinta Club flat top exist, showcasing minor differences in mandatory state tax statements, manufacturer codes, and side-panel patent layouts. Certain releases were also fitted with decorative vanity lids featuring brewery markings on the top lid.

The legacy of Becker Products remains central to Utah brewing history. Operating from their Lincoln Avenue facility in Ogden, the Becker family's portfolio provided a distinct local identity. Today, the Uinta Club Old Style Beer flat top can stands as an esteemed piece for enthusiasts of Western regional brewery memorabilia.
