Walter's Light Colorado Beer 12 Oz Tab Top Can

Walter's Light Colorado Can

Produced by the historic Walter Brewing Company of Pueblo, Colorado, the Walter's Light Colorado Beer can stands as an emblematic piece of southern Colorado's regional brewing heritage. Walter Brewing Company operated as an independent regional powerhouse supplying the Rocky Mountain region for decades before finally closing its doors in 1975.

The can's graphic design highlights the brewery's regional pride, showcasing bold Walter's branding paired with text emphasizing its Colorado origins and Rocky Mountain water. This distinct local presentation made it a recognizable fixture across southern Colorado and neighboring western territories during the brewery's active canning era.

For breweriana collectors, this container represents a key chapter in Rocky Mountain regional beer history. Because Walter Brewing distributed locally and regionally rather than on a national scale, cans from the Pueblo plant remain popular focus pieces for state and regional collectors. Subtle variations exist across different manufacturing runs, with differences noted in seam construction, metallic sheen, and layout spacing of mandatory brewery text.
