Walter's Ye Olde Ale Flat Top Can

Walter's Ye Olde Ale Overview

Produced by the Walter Brewing Company of Pueblo, Colorado, the Walter's Ye Olde Ale flat top is a notable item among regional breweriana collectors. The Walter family established an extensive brewing legacy across Wisconsin and Colorado, with the Pueblo facility standing as a key regional independent supplying the Rocky Mountain West and surrounding states.

The can displays mid-century graphic stylings, featuring the traditional branding and bold lettering associated with the brewery's ale line. While Walter Brewing Company produced larger volumes of its standard lager and pilsener offerings, specialty lines such as Ye Olde Ale saw more limited distribution, contributing to the scarcity of surviving examples in collections today.

Known variations exist across production runs, distinguished by minor differences in text layout and mandatory information on the side panels. For collectors specializing in Colorado brewing history and vintage ale cans, Walter's Ye Olde Ale remains a highly sought-after regional piece.
