White Seal Beer Cone Top Can

Kiewel White Seal Cone Top

Manufactured for the Kiewel Brewing Company of Little Falls, Minnesota, the White Seal Beer cone top can represents a classic piece of Upper Midwest brewing history. As the flagship brand of the Jacob Kiewel brewing enterprise following the repeal of Prohibition, White Seal Beer became a prominent regional label across Minnesota and neighboring markets.

Produced in partnership with Continental Can Company, this 12-ounce container is recognized by breweriana collectors for its crisp graphic presentation. The label art typically features bold typography alongside the prominent White Seal circular emblem, often accompanied by traditional marketing slogans such as "Superior Malt – Select Hops".

For collectors specializing in regional cans, the can is known to exist in various manufacturing variations. These label differences primarily involve mandatory alcohol content statements required by different state distribution laws—such as versions specifying alcohol percentages or bearing internal revenue tax wording—as well as minor alterations to the fine print and text layout on the side panels.

Because regional breweries like Kiewel operated with smaller packaging runs compared to national shipping giants, examples of White Seal cone tops remain highly sought after by collectors of vintage regional breweriana.
