Wiedemann Bohemiam Special Brew Beer Crowntainer

Wiedemann Louisville Crowntainer

The Wiedemann Bohemian Special Brew Crowntainer represents a notable chapter in Kentucky brewing history, issued under the banner of the Geo. Wiedemann Brewing Company with mandatory markings from Louisville, Kentucky. While the Wiedemann name was historically anchored across the Ohio River Valley, containers bearing the Louisville designation highlight the brand's regional packaging and distribution footprint throughout the state.

Graphic Design and Label Elements

The container features the distinctive "Special Brew" designation prominently displayed above the classic Wiedemann script lettering. The graphic presentation uses the company's traditional color palette of bold red and white with metallic accents, framed by period-accurate typography and heraldic embellishments. The face highlights the Bohemian heritage of the brand, while the mandatory text clearly identifies the Geo. Wiedemann Brewing Co. in Louisville, KY.

Collector Notes and Variations

Breweriana enthusiasts document known variations of this label across different manufacturing batches. These variations feature subtle differences in statutory text—including changes in alcohol statement placements and federal tax labeling—as well as minor shifts in the alignment of side-panel brewery information and graphic border lines. Because of its regional city mandatory and classic mid-century presentation, this can remains a sought-after piece for Ohio Valley and Kentucky breweriana collections.
