Wiedemann Bohemian Special Brew Fine Beer Flat Top Can

Wiedemann Bohemian Special Brew

The Wiedemann Bohemian Special Brew Fine Beer flat top can is a staple of mid-century Ohio Valley brewing history, produced by the Geo. Wiedemann Brewing Company of Newport, Kentucky. Located across the river from Cincinnati, Wiedemann established itself as one of the dominant brewing powerhouses in the region, with Bohemian Special Brew serving as its flagship offering.

The can features the brewery's trademark iconography: a bold spread-winged eagle perched atop a shield and stylized "W" emblem. Rendered in a clean palette of red, white, and gold, the face showcases prominent brand typography flanked by the "Bohemian Special Brew" and "Fine Beer" designations.

For breweriana enthusiasts, known variations of this flat top exist across different manufacturing runs. These variations include subtle shifts in mandatory brewery text placement, differing canning line trademark notations, and slight alterations to the graphic framing surrounding the central crest and promotional taglines. As a key piece of Northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati brewing heritage, the can remains a classic centerpiece for regional collection displays.
