Wiedemann Bohemian Special Fine Beer 12 Oz Tab Top Can

Wiedemann Bohemian Special Can

The George Wiedemann Brewing Company was established in Newport, Kentucky, and grew to become the largest brewing operation in the state. Following decades of regional success, the company merged into the G. Heileman Brewing Company, which continued operating the historic Newport plant as a dedicated division.

This 12 oz tab top container represents that era of G. Heileman ownership, carrying the Newport, Kentucky brewery line. The label showcases the classic "Bohemian Special Fine Beer" moniker and traditional Wiedemann heraldry, which remained familiar fixtures across Northern Kentucky and the greater Cincinnati market.

Within breweriana collecting, cans from this transitional period reflect the shifting landscape of regional American breweries during major industry consolidations. Multiple variations of this can exist among collectors, featuring differences in multi-city plant listings, mandatory text placement, and underlying metal compositions.
