Wisconsin Club Premium Beer 12 Oz Tab Top Can

Jos. Huber's Wisconsin Club Can

The Wisconsin Club Premium Beer 12 oz tab top can is an enduring piece of midwestern breweriana, originating from the historic Jos. Huber Brewing Company of Monroe, Wisconsin. With roots stretching back to the mid-19th century before operating under the Huber family name, the Monroe brewery established itself as a resilient regional independent throughout widespread brewery consolidation.

Wisconsin Club was one of the brewery's primary regional labels, celebrating its home state with classic midwestern styling. The graphic design prominently showcased local pride, incorporating outdoor nature motifs alongside slogans such as "Brewed With Wisconsin Pure Spring Water" and "Brewed With Wonderful Wisconsin Water".

Collectors recognize several variations of this can across its manufacturing lifespan. These variations include differences in container metallurgy ranging from rolled steel to lightweight aluminum, slight shifts in slogan text and state tax mandatory statements, and different container manufacturer stamps from producers like the Continental Can Company. The can serves as a classic artifact of Green County brewing heritage.
