Wisconsin Premium Quality Beer Flat Top Can

Wisconsin Premium Quality Beer

The Wisconsin Premium Quality Beer flat top can represents mid-century regional brewing from Waukesha, Wisconsin. Produced under the Wisconsin Brewing name—an operation closely linked with Waukesha's Fox Head Brewing Company—the label emphasizes local brewing heritage by highlighting the slogan "Brewed With Wisconsin's Famous Waukesha Water".

Graphic Design and Artistry

The can features bold title typography paired with an illustrated hunting scene set against the backdrop of the container's primary colors. Depicting a traditional outdoor sporting motif, the artwork was designed to appeal directly to the sporting and hunting culture of the Upper Midwest.

Variations and Finishes

For breweriana collectors, this can presents notable variety across production runs. Several variations exist, distinguished primarily by the application and color treatment of the hunting illustration. Examples are known to feature the vignette printed in metallic silver, enamel, or darker outlining, alongside slight differences in mandatory brewery text and side-panel layout.

Regional Collectibility

During the era of post-war brewery consolidations, regional canning runs from independent Waukesha producers became enduring artifacts of the state's brewing history. The Wisconsin Premium Quality Beer can remains a celebrated example of classic outdoor-themed commercial package art among collectors of Midwestern breweriana.
